Telecommuting With A Young Child At Home

As I begin writing this article, my two-year-old is shaking a can of Diet Iced Tea with his right hand and scribbling on the mouse pad with his left. Ahh, “the joy of being ambidextrous”. Before I started to work from home I would have missed out on most of these innocent activities. Now I continue to type, secure and confident that I (thank God), have a life of my own and can spend more quality time with my child.

My life is truly the tastiest blend of all worldly ingredients: I "earn my keep", I am "at home for the family", and I don't have to "pay someone to take care of our son". Most important, I say: I now get to do something I like and not wonder about every little thing my son does when I’m working!
