How can I get a car or get paid to drive my own?
Companies pay you to drive around in their cars, and they also pay you to drive around with their advertising on your car.
It's a simple marketing concept. The only thing you pay for is the insurance and your gasoline. (There
are NO car payments. The company pays you to drive - isn't that great news for us parents?)
Who can participate in the "paid to drive" programs?
We've found that there are a few requirements in order to participate in the "paid to drive" programs. Each company has varied requirements, but here are the general rules: You must be 18 years or older, have a valid drivers license, and completely fill out an application(s). You must be a citizen or permanent resident of one of the following countries: the United States, Canada. Just added: New companies serving Australia and UK (We are uncertain if all programs are available to residents of France, United Kingdom or Spain, so until we can tell for sure, if you live in one of these countries, please do not purchase.)
If you have been convicted of a felony or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or have had more than two serious moving violations in the last two years, you may not be eligible
to participate in these programs.
What is the selection process like?
Selection depends upon considerations such as driving record, driving habits, location, etc. Most companies require a minimum mileage and a clean driving record (no violations within the past 12 months). Each company has different mileage and/or location criteria. For example, people in more populated areas and who drive more miles most likely receive first consideration when an ad campaign becomes available. That doesn't mean that small-town people will not be able to participate. It's possible that a "small-town" location may be a better "fit" for an ad campaign than someone in a big city. In a nutshell, selecting qualified drivers is an ever-changing process depending on the exact criteria needed for each ad campaign. The most important thing is to register at each company so that you can be contacted if your profile is selected.
What's expected of me as a driver?
Your primary job with each "paid to drive" program is to drive your car so it is frequently seen. Your car (whether it be your own car used for the program or a free car that the company may provide) must be driven frequently... for instance, driven for shopping trips, work, family events, etc. The minimum is usually anywhere from 50-200 miles per week, which, for the most of us parents, is fairly easy to accomplish!
Can I really get a "free car" out of this, too?
It's possible.
Some advertisers require specific vehicles for their ad campaigns and are often willing to provide drivers with a brand new ad-wrapped vehicle for free. Depending on the company's contract with you, you may be able to keep the car for up to 3-5 years.
Can you promise me that I will make money?
While we certainly hope that you are selected to receive monthly payments or a free car, We can't guarantee that you will be chosen by
a company. Each ad campaign has unique specifications. We do our best to keep you up-to-date with "PTDP" (PaidToDrive
Parents) information. We do wish you all the best with these resources, but
please know that we cannot make guarantees that are not our decision to make. However,
we do guarantee that each of our collected resources is active and is currently taking online applications. (If a company chooses to deny, or put a hold on online registrations, we will remove the listing, scour until we find another to replace it, and you will be notified of the change.)
